I'm a freelance artist, illustrator and designer, garnering most of my work from one end of the fashion industry or another. Between gigs you'll find me working on my stock portfolio at iStockPhoto.
Because I've been feeling more like a production artist breaking up so many of the collections of fashion/production flats in my stock portfolio, I decided to give myself a break by rustling up some of my original cartoons and giving them a new life in completed tech packs. These tech packs are something totally new in the iStock collection. They are currently pending inspection and approval.
Of course the artwork is also pending for all 3 styles
As is the collection of production flats
Simplified production flats are also in the queue for each pajama set
Please watch this space. I'll let you know when they are approved
Footed Pajamas (front and back)
Onesie (front and back)
Romper & Caps (front and back)
Receiving Blanket (draped and flat)
Mittens are currently pending approval and the file for the entire collection has been replaced in order to conform to the standards. iStock Admin. informs me that the thumbnail will be updated shortly.
In order to provide designers with a greater number of options, I've begun the process of breaking down many of my iStock Fashion Collections into individual files. This should benefit designers in at least 3 ways:
1) You can now pick and choose the garment that you want and you are no longer "forced" to buy a complete collection when all you need is one article.
2) Up until now you've also been "forced" to accept coordinating pieces from my perspective. With the new offerings you will have the flexibilty to mix and match the looks as you desire.
3) With the new simplified line sheets I am also offering front and back views to most garments as appropriate. This allows you to add your placed prints and logos that would be more appropriate and/or realistic to either the front or back view. Also, it will allow fabric designers to show a larger sample of their creations and, if you like to mix and match your prints, it will also allow you to show more of your work.
*** This may turn out to be a rather slow process but I will keep you updated as to what is available at any given time. Please - Bear with me.
These designs are currently in the house and are available for purchase and download:
Each simplified line sheet will also be linked to the appropriate collection so you will have easy access to the entire group as you might require.
I currently have quite a few of these types of files in the queue that are pending inspection. Please stay tuned...
I'm also giving myself a HUGE pat on the back because I've finally broken through the 100 file mark and, as of today, currently have 105 offerings on iStockPhoto. That may not be a lot to most of you but it's a big deal for me.
Wooooo Hooo!!!
Since I've been spending so much time with medical personnel, I thought it only fitting that this collection of fashion/production flats become part of my library on iStock.
Just paste your fabic, your patterns, logos and other graphic elements into the bodies and you are ready to assemble your presentation boards and line sheets.
The medical staff croquis are also available and are just as willing to be customized to reflect your fabric deisgns, logs, placed prints, etc.
Funny: I was shocked at how few vector offerings of medical personnel were available on iStock. Especially since health and medicine are such huge topics in today's society. Think about it.
Anyway: I have abunch of stuff piled up around me that I'm trying to get finished. I'll be back.

As you may remember from my post on Friday, I happily hit Silver rating at iStock on Thursday. As I also made note: That's no small thing when you have a portfolio of only 61 offerings and I am absolutely stoked. Uploading was kind of a chore with the server speed still being somewhat retarded. But they're there and they're awaiting approval.
Here are some samples of what I uploaded to round up my portfolio to 65 files.
And here's the Pirate Wench
All dressed up with no place to go...
So I have my fingers crossed that the girls and their wardrobe, as well as the varsity wear, will all be good to go before to long. Just wish me luck, Peeps. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
