Some of you know and some of you don't: Just Born [the makers of Peeps], the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Downtown Bethlehem Association are sponsoring a Peeps Art Competition. The Mission: to make anything your little heart desires from Peeps. Okay. So I did. And here is a preview.
I'll be dropping this work off tomorrow. DC, Drew, and my friend Sarah think this is kick-ass original and, if anyone else comes to the competition with anything [even remotely] similar to this, my husband has promised to eat it. Of that I will take pictures - You have my word. In the meantime, please wish me luck.
I'm actively seeking representation on some of my latest fashion designs. There are several options that I'll consider:
- You could purchase an extended license through iStockPhoto for these designs
- You can contact me to discuss terms of a buyout on any of these designs.
- You could agree to provide representation for marketing any [or all] of these pieces.
I absolutely love the hand-drawn, rough and chalky feel of this work. It was created by manipulating the standard set of brushes pre-packaged with Adobe Illustrator.
The skirt's a classic updated with a current top.

And the artwork
The artwork for this illustration is derived from several of my original paintings. I am the copyright holder and original creator of those paintings. Additionally, you may see some of the work in progress as well as the finished works at http://www.flickr.com/photos/studio524 and http://www.ebsqart.com/Artists/cmd_15437_profile_portfolio.htm.
They are now good to go.
1 Part fashion illustration combined with 1 part holiday frustration. Created with the aid of Adobe Illustrator for possible use as a holiday card.
This is rights-managed illustration. As a vector it is completely editable and infinitely scalable. Please contact me for pricing and options for use.
You can see this design on a variety of products at Zazzle.com. The mousepad design was counted among today's best within minutes of being uploaded.
Of course I'm still vying for votes, stars and comments in Zazzle's Talk Like a Pirate Contest. So [please] do a girl a favor and help me out. You can view my design here.
I've also taken on the part time postiion of being Kenn's campaign manager so a nod in his direction will only make me look good.
Well [actually] I don't think it ever stops.
Seriously though...
I'd like to congratulate Kenn on his win in Zazzle's Fake Mascot Contest.
Awesome stuff, dood. What can I tell you. I'm overwhelmingly impressed and [now] inspired.
And for those of you who are now curious and/or imbued with the spirit...
You'll be interested to know that Zazzle is running another contest and a very interesting one at that. Talk Like a Pirate Day.... Check it out.
And his infectious enthusiasm naturally drug me into the fray
This shirt is my entry and [doncha know] it got selected for inclusion into the Today's Best collection.
This bodes well for me - I hope. There's $1000.00 at stake so - if you really love me - help a girl out and throw her a few stars and/or comments [please - I'm almost begging - see]
We have ignition...
Well, Peeps. I've owned this URL since January and now, 8 months later, my portfolio finally has a home. I'd love to know your take on it if you have the time to click around.
Please don't look for any fancy CSS, PHP, ASP, JSP [or any of those other P's]. I'm strictly a table-based HTML/DHTML kind of girl and I sincerely doubt that will ever change. Hell - this took me 3 days. I can't imagine how long it would take me to do this any other way.
I have to submit this to something that could be kind of big for me so honest opinions are a must. Please don't spare me. I'm a big girl and I can take it - Even if you think it looks like cheesy-crap - I have to know this.

Thanks in advance.
You guys RULE!
My agent in China has asked me to do a series of cartoon animals for presentation to prospective clients. These illustrations are for the women's market - not little girls. He'd like my style to remain intact as this is what initially got the client's attention.
My question to you, ladies - my friends, is which animals would you be most likely to wear on a tee:
- Giraffe
- Lion
- Tiger
- Leopard / Puma
- Monkey
- Squirrel
- Kodiak Bear
- Funky Fish
- Other...
I'm just taking a kind poll and would like your honest ideas and I am uploading sample sketches as I go.
Thanks in advance, chicas. I do whole-heartedly appreciate the input.

Your comments and critique will certainly be well received.
Trust me: I can take it. Even if you think it sucks and that I have brass ones for calling myself a "Designer"
****Please note: I didn't say programmer. It's table based HTML You CSS Wizards will just have to get over it.
