So the votes are in and counted and we took second place at CoffeeTalking. I don't think there's a prize for it but it's all good. Thanks to everybody who voted.

If you get time do check out some of the other entries. Many of them were created by an 8 yr. old boy named Travis. It seems he has a new hobby with the Peep thing. That's pretty creative and my hat's off to him.

First Friday, April 4, is the official judging for the 1st Annual Peep Arts Competition in Downtown Bethlehem. I did a little Easter-Morning Reconnaissance and found Fleur di Peep hainging out at Clothesline Organics. The stores were closed so I didn't get pics but I'll be in attendance for the judging. DC's going with me so you're pretty much assured of getting more pics. He is, afterall, the official photographer around here.

Once the investigation di Peep was finished we took a ride to visit Christopher.

He's doing well and quite busy spreading Anger. Fact is, he copped the latest issue of the Angry Bunny tee to give to one of his friends. There seems to be a whole street team developing in Hackettstown, NJ. That's pretty special. Thanks, Kenn!

A little cooperation would be nice

So it's finally stopped raining and we have a rather clear and sunny day in Pennsylvania. This should be good because I have a somewhat secret project to tend to and it requires photos being taken out of doors. Of course a bright sunny day is good for this but mega-doppler winds are not. A little cooperation from the weather would be nice. Just a little - I'm not greedy.

Comic Relief -- Fleur di Peep

Some of you know and some of you don't: Just Born [the makers of Peeps], the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Downtown Bethlehem Association are sponsoring a Peeps Art Competition. The Mission: to make anything your little heart desires from Peeps. Okay. So I did. And here is a preview.

I'll be dropping this work off tomorrow. DC, Drew, and my friend Sarah think this is kick-ass original and, if anyone else comes to the competition with anything [even remotely] similar to this, my husband has promised to eat it. Of that I will take pictures - You have my word. In the meantime, please wish me luck.

Is it me, or were the Super Bowl ads just a whiter shade of pale this year? It seemed that every ad was buried in nostalgia, or worse, half-baked. One can forgive the nostalgic, 'let's play it safe' attitude taken by major advertisers Anheuser-Busch, Coke, Pepsi, and believe it or not, newcomer Tide. After all we're heading into a recession, still in a protracted war and in an election year. Playing it safe is the current motto of our times. But spending millions on a commercial to air during the most watched TV event of the season and being boring, well....that's just downright wrong. (And don't even get me started on the fat guy using cable jumpers for nipple clamps to jump start a car...I mean, just who is the Amp'd target audience?)
