Skirting the Issue: Round 2: Who Calls Dibs
Thanks to everyone who has followed along and made such wonderful comments about Sandy's Prize from the first Skirting the Issue Contest. I really appeciate it and find it encouraging me to persue and further develop this line of custom created, sustainable fashions.
As luck would have it, I already have one more coffee-stained tee and I would like to offer you, any of my friends, first dibs on a design.
I wouldn't feel right if I had to pick one of you so you have to decide by comments [like whoever calls dibs first].
Particulars
If you already sent me your specs and stuff for the contest - no worries - I have all of that. If not, you need to send me your specs [waist, hip, and preferred length] if you get dibs.
I'd also like to give you a choice. Choose an unpainted skirt, sewn from this coffee stained tee and any others as might needed. Choose your style and I will sew it to your specs for half price: $25.00 USD.
If you'd like a hand-painted skirt - No worries. Choose your style. Choose your art [within reason, please] and your skirt will be sewn and painted to suit your color choices. Cost: Half-price would be $62.50 so let's say... $50.00 USD
I'm throwing shipping into the pot too. But, if you're over seas, we'll have to split it. You choose the carrier [UPS or FedEx].
We'll start the design process with sketches, just like before, and will begin the process once payment is received. My PayPal addy, for whoever gets dibs, is studio_524@yahoo.com

Choose your style.

I'm messaging you.
Ms. Cate called dibs the second the post hit the wire.
I'll have to see what I can do for you after I'm done with Cate's skirt.
I can only really work on one at a time.
In the meantime, you should start thinking about art and design.
i was way too late for this. but i am thinking of maybe after you have some time of getting a custom skirt from you. an early present to myself. :)

Congrats to Ms Cate!
Thanks so much Rouma!!
The good news is that you are in luck.
As I told Kim, I can't give to one friend and take from another.
So I'm forming a line for skirts.
Cate has first dibs.
When I'm done with her skirt I'm making one for Kim.
When I'm done with Kim's skirt you're next in the conga line.
Please do me a favor and take your measurements and make your choices and message me with them. That way I have them when I'm ready to work on yours.
I'll be posting the same kind of process photos so you'll know when your time is coming. Too: I will either call you or message you to confirm and all of that.
*hug*
No rush, hun. I can really only do these one at a time.
Know too that all of it is the measurements are kept confidential so, if you feel unsure and you tell me what size you normally wear, I can give you an idea if you're way off or not.
Another way to get a good idea is to measure a skirt that you already love the fit of. Just lay it flat and measure at the waist, hip, and length. ;)
I'd really love for you to have one. I'm doing these on a totally custom basis so, if you'd like to join the conga line, it's about a month / month and a half until I would come around to you and there is no obligation at this point.
You've been added, Ms. Jaie.
Look up at the next post.
I will message you about the coffee and your artwork preferences.
Thanks for joining the Conga Line.
More soon...

I do love making them though.
Each one is a great exercise for my creativity and it allows me to actually design - from start to finish. Since I'm usually at one end or the other in the process, I really think it's a treat.
