A little cooperation would be nice
So it's finally stopped raining and we have a rather clear and sunny day in Pennsylvania. This should be good because I have a somewhat secret project to tend to and it requires photos being taken out of doors. Of course a bright sunny day is good for this but mega-doppler winds are not. A little cooperation from the weather would be nice. Just a little - I'm not greedy.
Speaking of cooperation...

Thanks, EnSue! For the votes and everything. It took about a week to finish and [believe me] it drove me crazy.
This project started as an entry into a local art contest. It's sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Bethlehem Association and Just Born [the makers of Peeps]. My husband, being a member of the Chamber, got a bulletin in email and forwarded it to me with a note that he thought it would be a great promotion. That was on the 7th. The deadline for entries to the local contest was the 15th and all of the entries are to have been placed in various windows of downtown merchants. We've had so much rain and wind I haven't had a chance [or the inclination] to follow up on it but it's on my list of things to do today.
Anyway: I was on the phone with a good friend of mine when I got DC's email and I was like OMG - so what the hell am I supposed to do for this and she immediately came up with the idea of a skirt - the kind with the funky flowers. Yeah - And I could put my label on it and all of that.
So it was a long drawn out process putting this thing together. The skirt was an easy design to sew but I could only apply the Peeps in one section at a time. Elmer's glue is the best thing to use for Peeps because it melts the marshmallow a bit. But it's wet and takes about 12-18 hours to dry. So yeah... It was one icky-sticky mess.
Think about the Fish Head song and then let this roll around in your head
Peep heads. Peep heads
Icky-sticky goo.
Peep heads. Peep heads.
They always stick to you.
Yeah. It was like that.
LeendaDll brought up the CoffeeTalking contest so I did. That was the easy part.
